Mistakes are made here. The rudder and elevator skins go on top of the counterbalance skins. I think people assume it should be the other way because the edges of the skins point into wind when it done correctly and they think it should be the other way. I've seen 2 or 3 planes assembled incorrectly...

I seem to recall this being discussed somewhere before and IIRC the concensus was that Van's has taken this into account when designing the spars.BSwayze wrote:And Kelly made a good point... then what about our wing spars?
