Re: VPX

Update: Bought the VPX sport from Stein in August before the scheduled price hike. I love the idea of monitoring my electrical on the Dynon skyview. I love the look of a clean panel, no fuses.

Re: Boost pump

Thought I would update this thread. Better late than never I guess. I ended up looking at all Osh had to offer and ended up going with Andair. I was impressed with the quality of there products. I had doubts in my mind even as I was placing my order with them being across the pond and all. I bought ...

Re: Boost pump

Bruce, could you expand on your fuel filter? You said it's about the same size as efii' disposable ones. At least it looks like efii' disposable ones in the picture. You said it's a ez flow, what micron filter is it? It looks longer as far as the size of the filter? I believe more filter surface are...

Re: Boost pump

Thanks guys. I am looking at the EFII CJ. It appears smaller than AFP and is slightly less expensive. EFII is $649 with 2 filters, and Vans has the AFP with one filter is $670.

Re: Boost pump

Thanks for the info Bob.! After doing more research I think I'll go with AFP. I will be looking at the andair fuel valve tho.

Boost pump

While at Osh wanted to look at boost pumps. Won't be there Wednesday night unfortunately. If I recall Bruce S. and I believe Mike ordered a andair boost pump I believe they are easier plumbing than Vans option? I also recall them having issues that took a while to resolve. A gasket issue or somethin...

Re: VPX

Thanks for the input guys. I'll think it over and see what the pocket book looks like at the time. I really like the idea of it but it is added cost. Thanks

Re: VPX

I realize it replaces parts so the weight issue is probable negligable. No questions really just wondering if it adds enough to be worth it. I have read stories of people having issues and having to send it in. That means your down until it is shipped back. Old style fuses or breakers are more readi...

VPX

Trying to decide if I will put one in? Justifying the cost. I am electrically challenged but have someone that did avionics in the navy that will help me. So not a real advantage that it makes it easier. Does it offer enough advantages to justify the added weight and cost? All views welcome. Thanks

Thanks Mike, I requested some additional information including a pic of the data plate with the serial number and have not heard from him since. The more I research the less I want it. It comes with 9 to 1 compression so that would confine me to 100LL. Sounded like his daughter needed a heart transp...

0320 H2AD in RV 9.

Possible great deal on a 0320 H2AD. Wondering if it would work in a 9? 95 hours smoh and 1701 total time. About all I know right now. Any info greatly appreciated. Says it is ready to bolt on a plane? Seems to good to be true? It's in Palm Springs/ Twentynine Palms CA area.
