Re: Smoke System for N987MB
Mike, Great write up. And nice detailed instructions on this smoke system. This will be my go to post when I commit just like the valve stem cleaning. I can attest this system works great when you were up my way a couple months ago.

Re: 2016 Flying Stats
Mikey, What a great year of flying! It is great that you run this place FOR the enthusiasts. All that you do is greatly appreciated and you never ask a dime for it! This place needs more activity. Does anyone have some ideas on how to get this site to become more active? I like the small town atmos...

Re: Position of 3-in-one tip wing tip lights to meet visibility requirements
Ken, Good luck with your endeavor's. If you are still considering the fiberglass A600 nav light mount inserts, the company that makes or made them for vans is Aero Strategies Unlimited, and I would bet if you called them they could make you a set, I think they make the gear leg fairings for vans as ...

Re: Ground cable to replace
Vlad,
You may want to use a braided cable like you have as your battery ground, that goes to your engine. flexible and designed for the task. It will reduce the flex load on the terminals.

Hi Ken,
I did the same. Used the Aero LED Pulsar and the vans fairing. Old wingtips on my RV7.

trim cable anchor nut WD-415
My trim cable anchor nut angle appears to be incorrect causing alignment issues when mounting the trim cover plate to the elevator. My plan is to bend the anchor nut some to fit, has anyone else run into this problem?
Thanks
Thanks

Vlad, You are right! This is where it's at!!! I am really happy to have what I have but I feel badly for those who don't. I do what I can for others who aren't as fortunate and I work really hard for what I have and intend to keep it up. I see my students and wonder what is in store for them! Anyho...

Lower fwd firewall pieces
Hey Johnyboy looks good.
By the way looking at your firewall picture what are those 2 pieces of metal located between the lower engine truss bolts. Oh about 5.5 inches wide or so. Looks like there riveted to the firewall and firewall angles? I did'nt do that am I missing something?
