Re: ELT Antenna Placement
Mike Thanks for posting the pic. Unfortunately all antenna mounting on the 8 is a compromise of one kind or another. ELT Antenna Placement
Question for all of those guys who have built an RV-8 I know a lot of people place their antennas horizontally under the fairing for the horizontal stabilizer. Im not a big fan of doing it that way for my own reasons. I am thinking of placing my ELT antenna on the upper skin passing through the fair...

RV-8 fuel system with Vapor Return Lines
I purchased a Eci Titan IO370C4B1T8 Engine for my RV-8, hopefully it will be here in a few days. Based on the documentation I have reviewed so far I will need to add a vapor return line to the fuel system on DWG 82. Back a few years ago I knew I wanted a fuel injected engine and I purchased the Airf...

I received my avionics about the same time as CJ did but haven't made anywhere near the progress. After lurking around this site and learning from all of you, and promising .... several times that i would start posting I'm going to give it a serious try. Anyway after receiving the boxes I have been ...

RV-8 wth 200 HP engine
:? I realized i should post why I am asking. I feel like I am missing something :? Right now my plan is to install an io360 or 375 on the RV-8. I weigh about 210 (could use to loose another 30 lbs or so) i have read that with a heavy person and the big engine up front, the battery needs to go in the...

i had bought a 1977 Cessna 172XP and had begun doing a lot of the work on it myself under the watchful eye of my friendly neighborhood IA. I have always enjoyed tinkering with stuff. to give credit where it is due, it was this website that finally made me go for it. I had seen this site, gotten my f...
