John

Maybe a few of the russians would like a holiday in England......I'm sure your inspector wouldn't notice the accent, you being in the south-west!

Happy holidays everyone from a cold but bright and sunny London, England. I've decided this definitely be the last one spent working on the house rather than the RV........no really, this time I mean it!

1) Order the first section of my RV10 (just organising shipping right now so this is almost a tick).

2) Finish my PPL (sooooooo nearly there now, long X-country done).

3) Finally play for England at rugby (slightly less likely if I am brutally honest).

Re: It does make sense...honest

Does your company need a short, irate IT manager? Yes we do ....no wait, hell thats what I do for the bastards. What are they doing advertising my job. No.....wait a sec........no, that must be it. I must be the boss. Yep, I call the shots (as well as 'managing' IT, HR, legal, finance, tea...

It does make sense...honest

You see, the homebuild community in the UK is a fraction of the size it is in the US - no doubt thanks to our CAA (Civil Aviation Authority or Campaign against Aviation, depending on whether you work for them or just want to irritate them by flying). Also we have fewer suppliers etc to help us out. ...

Thats torn it

An 11,000 mile round trip to Portland, only to arrive as they closed the interstate because of flooding, cloud at 50ft and 50kn winds all meant no test flight.......but somehow sitting in the plane in the hanger got me there anyway. Now back in the UK, have a brickie building my workshop inside the ...

If you are looking for some inspiration on 50's retro try checking out he italian motorcycle clothing designers. They are hot on 50 to 70's retro right now and the colour combinations they use look fantastic (to me anyway). If you're interested I'll look out some websites when I get a chance.

Now this is what I like about this site: it can always make you feel good about yourself.

I'm 6'2 and 200lbs - big by UK standards but positively a pixie compared with you guys. Yay.

And I'm visiting Vans in....4 weeks.....to make the big decision.

I like the innovative bicycle wheel undercarriage you've fitted, though it does look a bit wonky to me.

Sighs. All of the preceeding posts just give weight to the argument that english should be left where it belongs, with the English. The people that gave the world Monty Python, Shakespeare and jazz. OK I lied about that last one. But I'm pretty sure we could have given the world jazz, if only we'd r...

I've always loved Canada. Such a beautiful country and such great people (not least because you can spell). Remember its called English because it belongs to us English. Its on loan to you guys in America, and if you continue to mangle it beyond recognition we might just ask for it back. More from D...

Do three siamese cats (OK so they are Liz's cats not mine) count as equal to at least one dog? Damn, thought not.

Hello

I just thought I'd introduce myself. I've been browsing around this site and others for a little while doing some reading up now I've booked a flight out to visit Vans for December so I thought I better register on here. Having built a house and a car in the past, it seemed only right to me that I s...
