iPad GPS

Hope everyone had a good Xmas, I got myself a iPad mini, just the wifi one, been looking at Bluetooth and non Bluetooth GPS antennas for it for flying, what is everyone using? They all seem to be about the same price, so just trying to get the skinny as to which is the best one.

Cheap painting booth

I got the idea when I had to paint a ring to on a customer plane with a hangar full of aircraft, instead of killing the shop productivity and dumping the entire hangar for a few day the saying "necessity is the mother of invention" kicked in! for about $125 you can make one of these, all you need is...

After reading that, seems the only reason for the bigger rudder is for better knife edge flight during your ribbon cuts. Just save yourself time and stick with your little rudda!

Mike, there is a thing of being too rich with a Fi engine, but in normal conditions you would never know because you always pull the mixture back in cruise to get your lean of peak or rich of peak senerio. If the test results show what i think will happen you have 2 options, 1) leave it alone, or 2)...

Mike, I have had this problem in the past with some arrows and senecas with the IO-360's your high end factory mixture setting is most likely too rich, try this for an experiment, warm the engine normally, then when it comes times to perform your mag check set the engine rpm to 1800 and then lean th...

Vlad, the use of sealant on any intake part is not needed, and yes there is a threat of possible ingestion, the gaskets will do a fine job on their own with many hundreds of hours of worry free operation, I would recoment removing the sealant and installing new gaskets. Hope this helps....and john I...
