Re: Zizzo Liberte - folding bike
Today was one of those perfect spring days that practically demands you get outside. I took full advantage and logged about 60 miles on the Zizzo Speedster. The sun was out, the breeze was light, and the temperature was ideal—absolutely perfect for a long ride. For the first time, I explored a new s...

Re: Zizzo Liberte - folding bike
A Nice Bike Ride Close to Lake Erie I had a wonderful ride along the North Coast Inland Trail, staying close to Lake Erie. It was my first time visiting both the Loraine County Airport and the trail itself, and they were truly delightful discoveries. The route took me through the charming towns of E...

rope link Version 2.... when it is very cold, the rope shrinks and makes it more difficult to link. this version changes a couple holes to slots at the bolt for ease of fastening. it seems to work well. I like it. I'll test it for a while. the rope is about 5 years old. https://i.postimg.cc/wxQ1B9dt...

Mx Aircraft - Rob Holland - crashed and died
well, if you fly low enough, long enough, it doesn't matter how good you are (and he was very good), you will eventually die. altitude is your friend in the aircraft. claw for it after takeoff. he was doing what he liked to do. condolences to the family. https://i.postimg.cc/1tnM9qx1/download.jpg

printing some things this AM.... more rudder pedal extensions, big and only 46grams each. push them on until they "click" around the vertical bar. I need to raise the price on these extensions to slow the train. https://i.postimg.cc/qqhmyLr7/IMG20250425072031.jpg ********* and more... https://i.post...

RV6A - Final Report - N805RV well, this seems goofy. well, if you have a total electrical failure in-flight on a totally electrical dependent aircraft, you have a problem. another case of a single point electrical failure bringing the aircraft down. Mazda engines don't operate very well without electrical power. most likely for this build, "he didn't ...

Re: Zizzo Liberte - folding bike
I kept pinching myself, asking if this was paradise. Perfect temperatures, location, people, food, and a bike. It doesn't get much better than today. I removed the tape on my ACOC and got an 25F additional cooling for the ride home. It was time to remove the tape in Ohio. A nice shale and limestone ...

Fasting - something new for me
so much has been said about the benefits of fasting, I thought I would give it a try as an auxiliary method for body health. I have pushed my weight down into the 170's and it is good. however, I am older now and retired and I don't carry as much muscle mass as when I was younger, so I think a weigh...

A man did not eat for over a year - and met his weight goal
Angus Barbieri (1938 or 1939 – 7 September 1990) was a Scottish man who fasted for 382 days,[1] from 14 June 1965 to 30 June 1966. He subsisted on tea, coffee, sparkling water, vitamins and yeast extract while living at home in Tayport, Scotland, frequently visiting Maryfield Hospital for medical ev...

Van's Drawing Change Notices - New info pub upgrade
It seems that Van's has chosen to include drawing change notices to existing builders. I think this is good to keep folks updated. Before attempting any changes or maintenance, it would be prudent to compare the new drawings and parts to the existing as built to plans to avoid any mistakes. Here we ...

Filter Air Box - Wear
So many have filter air box wear, and I do not . I spent a couple hours this morning and ran some simple numbers for intake pulses and compared the air box frequency response with and without filter weight. The air box fiberglass thickness was assumed to be .050-inch thickness. This should be close,...

I highly recommend taking a hike around the Boston area. There’s so much to see and plenty of great food to enjoy. Nothing beats exploring Boston on foot. This one was a commercial flight, but we had previously flown the RV into Hanscom for a similar walking trip eight years ago in the summertime. f...

Re: Zizzo Liberte - folding bike
I had some play in the bottom bracket on the Liberte beater bike. it turned out to be a spline clamp adjustment was needed, so not too much work. just loosen, pull it in and retighten. there was negligible play in the bottom bracket bearing. I have been really hard on this bike, and it is holding up...
