Re: Question about hoses
all aeroquip 666 teflon hoses are made. very easy to work with super gem fittings. one of my -8 hoses (ACOC upper hose) needs to be 701 to meet the allowable bend radius. the aeroquip -8 666 teflon hose allowable bend radius = 4.62 and I need 3.6 inches, so 701 it is. you can make some nice end cuts...

Re: Question about hoses
making hoses from certified materials that have a listed spec.... oil pressure sense line pressure tested to 1000 psi and installed. fuel pressure sense hose is made. they are very easy to make, and fittings are reusable so if you don't like the length, make another. using 666, Vlad hose. weight com...

Champion guy
I like the Champion stuff as I have had good luck with them: filter, spark plugs, mags and leads. I purchased some Tempest filters when Champion was retooling, but I don't need them. they will probably hit the trash. I also use the Concorde battery. I get 3 years from these, but they are reliable. w...

Re: getting new intake and oil drain rubber
finished the intake and drain rubber. the intake gaskets were in pieces. I'll probably start changing those each 500 hours. I wrap a spit poly tube around the oil drain in two places to protect them. it worked well for 1250 hours and burns in and makes a sweet mate to the cowl baffle wires. I refres...

a few chips and then no chips
I had a few chips in the oil filter upon last inspection, but this current inspection is clean. I don't do oil analysis, but I cut and inspect the filter every time. I do wonder where the chips came from. https://i.postimg.cc/PxKj2731/IMG20240525160353.jpg https://i.postimg.cc/vBGy7yzQ/IMG2024052516...

Re: WW RV200 service
that's some chair or the guy is really small.... I was referenced to a guy up that way in Burton. I am not familiar with him, but he seems reasonable on the phone. Burton is 30 miles SW of Austinburg. I am driving next week and will drop the prop off around noon. he will call me when it's ready for ...

getting new intake and oil drain rubber
1250 hours, all untouched until now. getting new intake and oil drain rubber took a look at my alternator field and parallel power wires. they look OK, I'll let them ride. tefzel wires. for the fundamentals like wire, bolts, hoses, alum mat'l, etc. work with stuff that has a spec. unlike TS Flighlin...

WW RV200 service
removal with the winch was very easy. I have done it by hand several times but this is much better. the winch was very inexpensive. removed a total of about 50 grams of lead from the crank (we need to get rid of that shit). constant speed props are a hassle, but it saved my life and my wife's one ti...

Re: small winch at loft
load test .... I added about 100 lb to concrete barrel to reach 360 lb. no creaking or straining sounds. seems solid enough. I'm confident it could easily hold 1000 lb., but I don't need that much. I'll mark the beam, "Load tested 360 lb". the wood chip outs on the backside were caused from the cour...
