Carl, Great job! Another milestone completed. Since you're in my neck of the woods now, if you need an extra hand for anything, don't hesitate to call.

It will be next year for me too. I'm retiring at the end of this year and saving all my vacation time to sell back to finance an engine.

Since the solenoid is controlled by a spring, there may be an issue with aerobatics and G forces overcoming the spring tension. I.E., if the G force overcomes the spring tension and closes the starter contact (becasue it's oriented wrong) with engine running, bad things can happen. I can't seem to f...

I don't post a lot, but the genuine comraderie here is quite evident. I'm not planning on OSH this year, but looking forward to the Otter again in 2011.

I've used Quicken for years and can run a report for "RV" or "tools" and get exactly what I've spent. It's easy if you set up your categories.

I haven't checked with an AME, but I think the reason they don't like contacts for close up vision is that it makes distance vision blurry. I know it does for me. I won't drive with my contacts in because distance is too blurry and depth perception suffers.
