Hey CJ, Sorry for the wait but we had a family emergency here that put a lot on hold. Everything has settled down now. I flew a 7ECA 115hp w/the new metal wing ribs, very basic. The only instruments installed were an air speed, VSI, Altimeter, Slip and magnetic compass. The CFI and I did wheel and 3...

Questions about pneumatic squeezers

Hey Guys, I just received an ACAT (Chicago clone) tandem squeezer and it did not come with ANY information. I know it generates 6000lbs @ 90psi so I can squeeze those 3/16 rivets when I get to the wing spars. My plan was to operate it at 45 psi in the hopes of toning it down for other stuff. Will th...

I also like Colorado Springs. I have friends there and a possible job opportunity. Take time for some hiking in the mountains up past Florrisant, you'll love it. I am taking your advice to get a grinding wheel w/ scotchbrite.

Hey Bill, don't you need a bandsaw and router to build your wife picture frames or planters? Shelves are also needed having just moved into a new home. I used to live in the Springs a few years ago and may be moving back. I would like to stop by to visit. There is also an RV builders group there in ...

I can empathize with you all. and love it. I just bought a compressor, table top drill press, 3x rivet gun, 1/4" air drill, 90 deg die grinder and picked through the Cleavland empennage kit ala carte. I did go with the top of the line air tools and the RV4 is certainly a worth while project to me :r...

RV4 Empennage has arrived!

I was happy to see two boxes at my door today. I was sad to see one run thru with a forklift (Touche!). Damage to a fiberglass piece can be seen through the hole so I informed Van's as they requested on their website but I know this will eventually be fixed. I am currently setting up my apartment sh...

Thanks Snap, Back in 1982 I had the pleasure of visiting down under while cruising the South Pacific on the U.S. Navy frigate Marvin Shields FF-1066. We visited Sydney, Adelaide and Albany. I remember the people would call the ship and invite sailors to dinner and hunting. We even had a guy go AWOL ...

Hello Everybody!

My name is Bob and I live in Rosendale, Wisconsin. I have always dreamed of one day learning to fly an airplane. Inspired by a good friend I started lessons. He also told me to take a look at Van's website and this caught my interest so I ordered an info pack, then the preview plans for an RV4. I jo...
