Spike, this is awesome. It's cool to see the Chief Rivet Banger getting back into the building process. You're motivating me to get my butt back into the shop. Today was the first time in almost 4 days that I have seen the sun so I spent most of my time outside shoveling snow.

Hey CJ, glad you're okay. Does this mean we need to come up with a nickname for you like Captain Sparky or something?

Well, thanks to mother nature I am finally back in the shop working. We are getting pounded here in CO with our second blizzard in just over a week and the base I work on is shut down. I have been working on the top skin and instrument panel installation. Will be moving on to seat backs and roll bar...

Not exactlly aviation relate but I got a nice JVC hard disk camcorder. I do plan on buying a bullet cam to mount up in the tail for some of those really cool flying videos.

I guess my goal would be to actually start working on my project again. Haven't really touched it for about 6 weeks. Wasn't sure if I was still going to have a job after Dec 31st, but just found out my government contract was extended for 18 months. I also bought the family a puppy so that's a huge ...

I haven't tried it myself but I heard just the opposite. I heard the electric are a PITA because the motor is too fast and you have a hard time getting it set to the correct position. I went with manual trim on mine and like Chad, wish I could have manual flaps as well.

The only disadvantage I see with the camlocks are the $$$. They are pretty pricey.

I like the wall mounts you guys came up with. Pretty slick. You might want to make sure that A/C doesn't drip water on them though. I'm with CJ, I have a 3 car garage and plan on parking the fuselage in the middle bay so I can mount the wings. I want to keep my project at the house as close to the f...

Chad that thing rocks. I bet you are grinning ear to ear everytime you pull back on the yoke and launch that beast off the runway. I used to jump out of one of those when I was a active meat missile.

Andy, It sounds like the rivets are either too long or you are not keeping your squeezer straight on the rivet. Give me a buzz and I will try to explain it over the phone if you are still not getting it.

P.S. That's what you getting for moving so far north.

Thanks Spike, I dumped the cookies and it seems to be working again. I recently upgraded to Internet Explorer 7 so that is probably what caused it. I wonder if anyone else has seen the same thing?

Logged Out

Spike, for some reason I get logged out every time I leave the site even though I check the box to remember my log in. Is there something wrong with my account or is it some jacked up Windows thing? Would like to switch to Linux Red Hat but don't want to throw the wife and kids for a loop.

1.6 miles according to google maps. It takes about 12 mins to WALK, 3 mins to drive. Damn Andy, don't make me move to Kelly Airpark. http://www.airnav.com/airport/CO15 Might do it if I get a job in Denver. Dec 31st is my last official last day unless my contract gets renewed. One of the joys of bei...
