Thanks all. Here's the response from Ken @ Van's: "Actually, that's darn close to perfect alignment. Nail it down before it gets away." Even after reading that it is still bothering me. So, I'm going to leave it alone for now. If it still bothers me when I start flying I can fix it then. The small ...

Can it be adjusted in the software ?
Change the transducer ?

I occasionally get slightly high fuel pressure when the boost pump is on during take-off. (about 30), then it settles back down to about 25-26 after I shut off the boost pump.

Mike, I like that the Nexus 7 is a better view-able screen than the iPad's in direct sunlight. What Aviation apps can run on them ?

I have a good friend that did the internal hinge pin and after 7 years or ownership or so he has decided its a PITA. Your cowling looks quite lovely  Spike I did mine from the inside and don't mind it at all. It was an easy install and probably faster than having to make and cut-out the o...

It will be at Alpha One. I am thinking the big red hangar. Also, the circus is going to be at the airport tonight and tomorrow night. They station the clown cars and the high wire girls right in front of my door. I will have the grill going if anyone wants to stop by. It is more fun to watch from b...

Yes, I'd love to fly in and hang out for a bit.
I'm pretty sure I can drop in on Sunday, or Saturday afternoon.

Hi John,

Sorry to hear about your accident.
Glad to know the car hit your saddle bag instead of your leg, that would have been much worse. Wish you a full recovery with no lingering ailments.

I just used the piece of fiberglass that gets cut off as the shim, makes for a perfect fit as it's exactly the same thickness.

Thanks-I'll continue with the tanks then. I have them almost ready to go. I have to scuff the inside of the right tank skin where the pro-seal and ribs meet and then it's about ready to the dreaded pro-seal nightmares LOL. Oh wait, I have to dimple all the holes first... Scuff it up before dimpling...

That's good to know, I was thinking of mounting it centered in front of the stab, with a wrap around bracket that would screw on from both sides, instead of one, but it looks like it's a non-issue.

Re: GoPro Hero3 Silver....Installed

I recently purchased a GoPro Hero3 Silver video camera and mounted it on the RV's tail: http://rvplane.com/showthumb/DSCN2420.JPG I did a quick test flight the other day and was thrilled by the results! Nice first video. With the camera mounted to one side, you must notice some rudder trim issues i...

Sorry to hear of your data loss...
Perhaps it would be wise to back up your Kit log moving forward.
Even if it's just to a CD or DVD disk.

CJ is right, the issue isn't going to be getting the plane airworthy, but it does help to have some logs come the Repairmen's Cert. time.
