3rd Wheel Location

Thomas,

Thanks for the feedback. I'm located at the Former Fort Benjamin Harrison on Indy's Eastside.

I like your advice, and especially like the looks of those TW RVs. 8)

I'll send you a PM.

Thanks,

3rd Wheel Location

Hello everyone. Like many before me, I'm still trying to decide how I want my RV configured. I've read all the debates about 3rd wheel on the front or back. I'm considering building an RV-9A, and thought the IO-240 would be a good engine given the low fuel burn (7 GPH) with the 36 gallon tanks. That would give you 5 hours flying time without reserves. Also, it would be lighter (240 LBS) comp...

IO-240 in an RV-9A

Has anyone installed an IO-240 (125HP) engine in an RV-9/9A? Just curious. I'm considering building the -9A and thought the 125HP would be a good engine given the low fuel burn (7 GPH) with the 36 gallon tanks. Should give 5 hours flying time without reserve. Not sure about the speeds verses the IO-...
