Well, the friggin' rain in DFW finally let up long enough for me to go out and try the Navworx setup. I'm really happy with it. I also purchased the Stratus 2 ADS-B Receiver for my iPad. The ADS-B Transceiver has WiFi for the WingX Pro7 app, which I haven't tried out yet, but it does give the copilo...

He told me he really likes the stick rather than the yoke in my C172. He said "it feels more natural".

My Sons Young Eagle Flight in an RV-7A

My son went up in an RV-7A and got the "RV" grin during this flight. A special thanks goes out to Gene Lee and his RV-7A, and EAA Chapter 1246 and Garry Ackermann for putting on this event.

Brakes and Tires

I have looked at the landing gear (mains) drawing for a couple of days now and I just don't get it. My programmer mentality has hit a road block. Anybody know of a website or have pictures of the brake and tire assembly? Me likey pictures... THANKS!

That last webpage with the front wheel already on the engine mount is pure genius! THANK YOU! I put the engine mount on the firewall last night, but luckily I didn't put a wrench to it. It's coming off this afternoon!

Thanks Guys! It feels good to be back in the garage again. Would it be a good idea to pre-assemble the tires on the gear before inserting the gear legs into the fuselage? How did you support the tail end of the fuselage during the lift? Sorry for all the questions. My kiddo said "Dad, I can lift it ...

Installing Landing Gear on Fuselage

Hi Guys!

I'm ready to get back to work on the old RV. I have enough pemmies now to order the engine. How did you guys rig up the fuselage to install the main gear (the "A" types, that is...).
