Isn't there a difference in the two servos? Something about a better clutch in the trio? I remember hearing that the TruTrack servo did not have a real clutch?

Yep, By Locally grounding I mean just grounding the ground lead to the airframe where the load is installed (like a nav light will just get grounded at the wing tip area). Without a XPDR test set you won't get it do anything. It won't transmit without being interegated by a radar (noted by the red indication light flashing in flight).
