Thinking I can cover the rivet edges with two coats, lots of sanding in between... each coat would be...

As a General rule... Primers are not intended to be Top Coats... If the primer is an Epoxy it will quickly degrade (3-6 months) if exposed directly (horz surface) to sunlight... the UV is what breaks down the chemical bonds in the Epoxy. The first sign is that it will "Yellow" ... this is true for E...

One other thing to watch out for ..... if you use as Crow foot on the end of your torque wrench ... you must re-calculate the torque deliverd to the fastener. 100 in-lbs on the dial will deliver 100 + the fastener. The torque wrench is calibrated to deliver the value ... only when the center of the ...

Pete Just finished "FIXING" the Ski Jump... Van's send me the Tool... The Top skin over the flap is now in contour with the wing .. Flap seals tightly to the top skin ... The foot print of the Van's tool is only 3 inches, so you get to take many bites. Found that if you bite every 2 rivets, it makes...

Peter Good read... Any Hp above 210 is wasted.. The 7A does have a Vne of 200 kts. With 210 hp @ 8000 ft you will be over Vne. Remember Vne is TRUE AIRSPEED... not indicated. Our planed engine is Aerosport (same as what's in Van's RV7A) IO 360 paralle valve... with dual light speeds.. 8.5 to 1 comp....

So just add that drag from the bolt / screw as it nears the botom of the travel.... We have a "Click " type wrench .... so I could find the amount then add it to the total...

That works
