Re: new smart phone

Steve,

I like the loft area! Is it tall enough so that you may stand up when you are up there?

I was thinking of doing a similar thing to one of my hangars. How did you go about supporting the structure?

My hangar in Maine could use a little more space and this might just be the ticket!

Charlie, I was thinking that Mississippi would be a good stop. My nephew lives there and I haven’t seen him in decades!

I want to say that he is down in Pascagoula or Lucedale.

I will look you up this coming summer! Thanks!

Re: Planning a 2019 US tour. Anyone up for a visitor?

Thomas, I won't be off that soon. School lets out on June 13 and I need to do some things around here before I shove off. Thinking about heading west after Oshkosh... maybe bugging out of there on Thursday of the show week? What does that weekend look like for you? Colorado or Indy could be right al...

Paullie, That sounds great! I need to check out your new place down there! Are you doing OSH again this year? Steve, I will be seeing you waaaay sooner than that! Besides, you will be touring the county during the same time as me! Not much longer and we will all be at OSH. I have only about 40...

So glad this thread got resurrected, even though it seems to have been done by a spambot! He was an awesome dog and missed (still) by many! I am choked up just typing this! Tomorrow there is a St. Pawtricks (get the play on words?) pet adoption day at Mayflower Brewery here in Plymouth and I AM GOIN...

Yes! The Russian is right. We need to build a wall! Looks like I have been averaging about 250 hours per year the last four years. I must say that the machine has held up very well considering the amateur manufacturing experience. I'm looking forward to heading out your way the summer! We hav...

Bruce, yes I do want to go over to Catalina Island also. I'm making a list some things I would like to do on the trip and that is one of them. Maybe you could come to Catalina with me? I know you are an old salt at that. I took my airplane up to 18,000 feet for the first time yesterday. I wanted to ...

Re: Drilling stainless firewall *HELP*

Like Mike said, speed and feed are both the key. You need to find that sweet spot. Boelube works great, but also try Parpolive gold dishwashing liquid as a lubricant. A friend of mine who is a plumber taught me that trick. Plumbers drill stainless steel sinks all the time. Using a unibit works very ...

Thomas, thank you very much! I will take you up on that offer! I really do want to explore your brother's area also. The ATVs sound like a lot of fun! Vlad, I do plan on visiting Bruce that looks like a decently priced hotel. The Cantina and Las Vegas sounds great as well. Keep the ideas coming! I l...

Bruce, cool... I will let you know when I'm going to be in the area.

Yes, that would be great! What airport so you keep your plane at? I want to do some research.

Thanks!

Planning a 2019 US tour. Anyone up for a visitor?

Hey All, I have been busy flying this contraption and not posting much. In 3.5 years, I am at 1,000 hours on the Hobbs, been to OSH 4 times and Alaska once. I got my instrument rating in it and it is running strong! This year I am thinking about doing a circumnavigation of the contiguous US. I have ...

Wade,

Another superb job!

Maybe I will catch you sometime this August? As you may know, I’m in Alaska now making my way back home via Oshkosh.

Keep in touch!

Nice!

I will bring something from along my route home from Alaska. So far nothing has been able to last longer than 24 hours from time of purchase!

I will work on my willpower!

We might arrive on Saturday!?!

Re: Quick build kits

Quite simply, if you have got the lead then do it. OTOH, I wasn't sure of where the QB left off and the builder picked up, so I went SB... in addition to the fact that the delta in cost would pay for some big time radios!

Needless to say, I went SB.

Either way, you can't go wrong.

Hi Jim, We met at Oshkosh a few years ago. I have a TMX IO360 with your case and cylinders from Mattituck. It was one of the last engines out their door. ( Shame that they are no longer.) I have 722 hours on it in three years and I love it! I am doing my conditional inspection right now and the engi...

Huh?

Waive what for A&P's?

None of us have any restrictions on our planes. We built 100 percnt of them.
