What about this. Get all the sticky stuff in place, place a self inflating life raft in the baggage area, then pull the cord. Yeah! That's the ticket!I am sure you can get it to work if you can come up with some way to push the rear window against the aft skin from the inside.

C'mon Chad
Get real! I can see pictures of your garage in the pictures. If I cleaned my garage, it would still be messier than your garage.I flush out my garage. It's a disaster, and I want it clean.

Lookin' Good
Brian,
Way to go! Before you take it apart, I would fit the wing to fuselage fairings, if you have them. I cannot remember if they came with the fuselage or finish kit.
Good Luck!

This video is an example of EAA promoting things other than experimental aviation. They do a great job of promoting warbirds, antique airplanes, light sport aircraft, and many other areas of interest that are not “experimental”. They seem to more interested in getting bigger than in serving their or...

Scott,
I came across this. It might be a good STOL, side-by-side plane that doesn't cost an arm and a leg.

Chad, Congratulations on reaching the home stretch! Looks like fun. Its amazing how much time that little amount of parts takes. Have you worn one of the wheel pants like a "CONEHEAD" yet? On a serious note, I would cover that engine mount with gun oil or grease to keep it from rusting. Its easier t...

I used the Parker Rolo Flare Tool. Cleveland Tool Supply sells it for $97.00. I'm sure others sell it also. It can be seen here:

Chad, I don't know the details, but why don't you scrap the long mount and get the mount that works with the cowl you want. I know its alot of money but maybe you can sell it on one of the email lists. You work too hard and long to not build what you want. Just my $.02 worth. I'm sure you will make ...

Ian, I agree with Brian. The Trutrak brackets can be installed on a finished plane. I did it and it took all of 3-4 hours. The wiring, of course, took a little longer. I went with the Trutrak Digiflight IIVS because it gave me the option to upgrade to a "GV" unit in the future. I also looked at Trio...

Paul, Don is correct. Another example would be the fuel pickup. During a turn, if the fuel ran to the outboard end of the low wing's tank, the fuel pickup would be uncovered, with bad consequences. This does not happen because centrifigal force and gravity are balanced in a coordinated turn. In a po...

Tom, It is the only way I write them. The archives are full of them! I'm sorry, I did not appreciate the history :P My thoughts on the parking brake are illustrated in the example: You fly into an airport with a paved ramp. You park your plane and get out to take care of bodily functions. Option 1,...
