Contratulations!

Now the fun really begins. You'll be amazed how long it takes to put all the inspection covers and such back on. By the way, the orange shirt clashes with the red propeller.

Good Luck!

Chad, There is no 100% safe way to make the first flight. That being said, if you have faith in the design, faith in your building techniques, faith in your pilot skill, and faith in the almighty, there is nothing to do except go for it. The pucker factor will be high but your senses and concentrati...

Its Almost Time

Good Luck Chad!

I just wanted to wish you luck with your upcoming inspection. I believe I saw that it would be Tuesday, 7/6. Its been fun seeing your plane progress. Its still probably not too late to pull the engine and put in a John Deere tractor motor

Chad, It looks like you are nearing the end of the beginning to paraphrase Winston Churchill. As you will find out, an experimental plane is never finished  My first flight was in 2005 and I am always "improving" it. I read the rest of your website pages. Don't worry about having your interior ...

Nice Picture

Mike,

Looks like you are getting close. It looks like your hanger is covered with the same plastic as the alclad of your plane.

I flew my transition training with Mike several years ago. After the training, I was confident enough of my abilities to test fly my 7A myself. He did a great job of making me feel at home in the plane.

Good Luck!

Sorry to hear

Dave, Sorry to hear about your troubles. I hope your foot gets better. If your repaired canopy need further bending, here is the method I used. Get a long 4x4 and a short 6" piece of 2x4. Round slightly the ends of the 2x4 piece. Attach it to the center of the 4x4. Place the piece to be bent paralle...

Apparently my fuse blew either when extending the flaps for the landing or when I tried to raise them for the go around. Been there, done that! My solution is the same as yours. After 5+ years, the 7.5 has not failed (peck on wood). In my opinion, as long as you don't repeatedly exercise the flap m...

BUT...it's better than booking the likes of Miley, Jonas Bros, etc...
There are lots of bands between Chicago and Miley. How about Aerosmith, GNR, Metallica, etc. These might bring in the 30-40 year olds that will be the future of GA. They might be deaf, however

Second, on having the balls to have your pink slip dated April 1

In Tennessee??

Did anyone know that old T hangars are possibly the coldest places on Earth in the Winter? How cold can Tennessee really get? Today it is around zero here in Iowa. I imagine its even colder in Minnesota. I have a propane torpedo heater for the hanger and it works OK as long as its aimed directly at...

CJ, You really know you're aging when you are trying to read something and look for your reading glasses and it takes you several minutes to realize that you already have them on. I looked into lasix a few years ago. At that time, they said that they could either correct long or short range vision, ...

Brian,

Looks like alot of progress. Your clearance between the fiberglass spinner and the prop blades looks a little tight. Maybe its just the camera angle. Have you started the engine yet. Thats the biggest day short of flying.

Good Luck!
