After reading this post, i just had to go out and look at my seats. I did'nt remember using any flush rivets there. Checked the call out from plans and they are 470. Since they will be hidden by the seats i dont see any reason for going flush. If you want it to look good on the baggage side, you wil...

Thanks Jim, I did something similiar. Boy what a bear to get these mounts bolted up. I had to trim the floor stiffener by the lower 2 bolts to clear a socket to get them tight. Not much room in the spar to get at the washer and nut. I used a pair of forsnips and a long pair of channel locks to hold t...

Quickbuild "A" landing gear mounts

I am getting ready to open the holes in fuselage of the quickbuild A. I used the templates for layout, just want to know if anyone has a good way of cutting this elliptical shape into the skin. Any suggestions?

Hi Will, no big deal!! Since that part will be wrapped with the tip, I would first make the hole wider at the bottom and keep it narrow at the top. Melt & pour no way it will come out or be seen for that matter. Good luck!! Ron

Experimental mid air

Hi all, has anyone heard anything about the 2 experimental mid air? All I know is they were landing in formation and one bumped another. One guy landed ok, but the other crashed. I think that they were getting ready for an airshow when this happened. Any more Info?

Hi Spike,
another option you may want to consider is to slide the crates into a pick up in the street, then back the pickup up the drive. Good Luck..Ron

I plan on going. We have some Family in Syracuse that we havent seen for a while. Sounds like a great, informational way to spend a Saturday.

Flying or Driving? I'm not IFR (yet) so weather plays big in my plans. Are you IFR?

I went to alexander tech. center in atlanta georgia. I to learned how to use all the tools and such, and at the end of the 5th day, my tail kit was complete! While we worked on my tail kit, their paint shop primed all the parts with polyfiber epoxy. They have rooms right at the facility for 20.00 a ...

Hey John,

Signed up for a room at the comfort inn today. Not many rooms left. Think it's great that you and your chapter are hosting this event. Can't wait to meet you all there! I will let all the members of our chapter (27) know about the seminar again at our July meeting.

It's all good now, she was having a bad day and I was being a slob. Di is the best, she even came out and helped me with her seatback. Scratch another chore off the list. Both seats are now finished and she is happy again. What a wild ride!
