Definately go horizontal. If you go vertical, you'll have to extend the panel which is a bunch of extra work. It also leaves less room for the most important component in the system--You. It will help if you think of one display as primary and the other secondary. The first displays every thing you ...

The compressor was their "professional line", 60 gallon, 220V, 3.2 hp. It can be seen here: http://www.sears.com/shc/s/p_10153_12605_00918419000P . It seems that over 1/2 of the reviews on the Sears website mention pump failures. I've got another pump on the way, since I'm ready to start painting as...

Lots of Plexiglass dust flying these days....

I'm in Scappoose, OR right now, paying Mike Seager's rent, so forgive me for not posting a picture directly. Here's a link to the entry in my builder's log. http://websites.expercraft.com/geprevo/index.php?q=log_entry&log_id=27717 Notice the lack of girly drinks in all photos... I did have a ...

I'm a big fan of heated vests. Especially ones with heated collars. By keeping the torso warm, the whole body stays warmer. All with no added weight to the airplane. I use one on my motorcycle, and have jacks installed in the -8 for them.

I'm a newbie pilot, but I get soooo pumped when someone really enjoys the ride. I'm not exactly a new pilot, but I feel the same way. When I was 19 or so and a new pilot, I always wanted to show new passengers what the plane would do, etc. Not the best choice. Anymore when taking someone flying I s...

Well, my prepunched fuse calls out K1100-06 nutplates and AN507-6r6 screws there.

I can't imagine using truss heads there, someone must have been hitting the pipe before coming to work to draw those plans on yours. :?

Cheers,

I don't understand why you're riding from Chicago though. :? If you're going to ride to Oshkosh, ride to Oshkosh! I rode there from Albuquerque, NM last year. I did an Iron Butt on the way back, riding from Oshkosh to Pueblo, CO in a day. Of course I'm not sure a Harley could go that far, even if yo...

Outstanding! Congrats.

Can't quite make it out on the covers...who built it? What model is it?

Joe
CJ nailed it. Mattituck TMX-IO360. Parallel valve 360, vertical induction, Precision fuel injection, one slick mag, one lightspeed ignition with a crank sensor.

Well, the big check I wrote at Oshkosh last year is now officially a part of my airplane. Thanks to Steve (Tan Hat), Michelle, Jon, and Ron for the help.

Jane Plane is now on her own 3 feet! My girl's growing up, now she's taller than I am. She's getting her heart implant (TMX-IO360) on Saturday the 16th.

Although 100LL is over $5.00 / gallon here in Albuquerque , I flew 45 minutes with a friend in his 7a last week to KSJN. We paid $3.55 / gallon there. It basically makes it a free flight for us to fly to AZ to buy gas!
