Re: Bluetooth music receiver $18
I recently purchased this $10.99 BT->1/8" stereo jack BT receiver for my old pickup truck off of Amazon. I needed to make a 1000 mile trip and the thought of listening to commercial ridden FM radio just wasn't appealing. The USB connector acts as just power. I already have BT built into my audio pan...

Re: Black Otter 2022
Anyone hungry for an obscene amount of perfectly cooked beef? I know I am! Tuesday seems to work really well for us. We aim to get there around 5:30. If you have a strong desire for a certain meat cut, please call ahead and arrange it! Who's going? Who's driving? How many can you fit if you're drivi...

New Image Hosting
I found a new image hosting site, postimg.cc which seems to integrate in nicely with the forum software. Super easy to add photos. https://i.postimg.cc/QKNRm3S2/Rivet-Bangers-Image-Hosting.jpg https://i.postimg.cc/QVXGhQsf/Rivet-Bangers-Image-Hosting-2.jpg https://i.postimg.cc/BtMW6jn4/Rivet-Bangers...

Re: a couple printed widgets
Steve, Very awesome! One idea I just had was sort of a tailwheel chock I could attach to my hangar floor. Right now I used a piece of blue painters tape to let me know how far back to pull my plane. Occasionally when distracted I pull it back too far, luckily never leading to any dented metal. This ...

Re: Sam James wheel pants install pics
Unfortunately I think Chad's site is gone forever.
I also installed Sam James' wheelpants. Do this Google Search for references on my site.

Very impressive! I have always wanted to get into 3D printing. Does EAA still give away a free copy of SolidWorks with a valid membership?

Re: OSH 2021
Do we need to be concerned about prime rib availability? In years passed, we’ve occasionally had to make reservations. I’m asking since in 2019 they ran out of prime rib. Along the same lines, do we need to set expectations as to the head count that will be showing up? A few years ago I did attempt...

Bruce,
No, I am not formation qualified. To be honest I am not a fan of formation outside of people I absolutely trust. Too easy for things to go wrong, and I have had too many instances of "close calls". Smoke install was just for fun!

Smoke System for N987MB
I have been sitting on the parts for a smoke system for well over a year. I even bought a 55 gallon drum of smoke oil in the fall. I have been dragging my feet installing the smoke system because I couldn't figure out some of the basics - such as where to mount the pump. I wanted it as removable as ...

Forum Software Upgrade
Tonight I upgraded the forum software to the latest level. As you regulars have probably noticed, the spammers had gotten a little out of control as of lately. The new software should hopefully make it more difficult for them to sell us the little blue pills CJ eats like tic-tacs! Let me know ...

Re: Avionics Upgrade
Hey Mike, I am working with GRT on an issue when the 440 is driving the A/P through the Sport it will fly through a fix before starting its turn, this does not happen with the 440 driving the A/P directly. Are you seeing anything similar? Hmm, I don't recall if I was driving my AP from the GRT or d...

Hey Skid- I have a GTN650 connected to a SportSX. I have been working on my instrument rating in it and am very impressed with the combination. I also have a TruTrak Vizion 385 which is amazing for the coupled approach I've done. I am looking forward to finishing up my rating and really seeing the f...

Re: Black Otter 2019!
I am a little embarrassed it's taken me this long to post the pics from the Otter, but here they are. 26 of us! Lots of fun was had. Already looking forward to next year. Is it too early to start prepping to consume an ENTIRE KING CUT??? http://www.rvplane.com/showthumb/DSCN6946.JPG http://www.rvpla...
