Yes, they also say it contributes to Alzheimers disease. I think my dog is daffy enough already! I really should curtail his appetite for airplane parts!

Cool, yah... Avery is great! I really do not like Harbor Freight. I had a hard time placing the order and totally lost confidence in them as a company. I told them I can buy cheap tools anywhere and not to send me anymore catalogs. That said, yes, it is an angle grinder. $30 or less is a great price...

Both and all. You can get the kit and kaboodle from Sears if you like.

The autobody store will have the best price though. I use the maroon pads almost exclusively.

Well, it is official. Our first primer war! Not a war really. Everyone is very civil, so I am comfortable weighing in. I am using DuPont Vari-Prime. http://www.homebuiltairplanes.com/photopost/data/500/122dscn0596-med.jpg I understand it isn't a "sealing primer" meaning the pigmentation isn't ...

Rudders - old style vs. new

I purchased my kit from someone who stored it since 2001. Needless to say I do not have all the pre-punching that most of you have. I also have the old style, folded trailing edge rudder. I spoke with Mike Seager and he said the major difference in normal flight is the yaw waggle in the old rudder. ...

Well, I know how cats like to eat the tinsel off the Christmas tree. Ya know... how it dangles from the exhaust pipe the next day! Well, it doesn't dangle from the dog, but I suppose it won't kill him as it is pretty much hypo-allergenic and somewhat soft. He actually walks over and stands underneat...

Yes... Absolutely. All electric, indeed! I wouldn't have it any other way. The hard part is deceiding which vendor to bed with. My panel is a ways off in the future, but if I were to do it today it would be Dynon. That is due to a function of economics and installed RV user base. The way I see my co...

Get one of these babies:

They are Scotchbrite wheels on a 3M Roloc arbor. You can buy them at any autobody supply place or Sears. The maroon pads are the most versatile.

They are absolutely MAGICAL!

Well, ummm... a fellow -7 builder and I were contemplating the same thing earlier today, but in a -7. We concluded that initially nothing real hard would be done. Just a punch through to get on top, kinda stuff. MY personal take is, being that I am a VFR only pilot... to get my Instrument ticket in ...

I am building a tailwheel -7 with about 50 Citabria hours under my belt. I like the nostalgia too! It takes a bit of ground handling to be comfortable with. I liken it to driving a forklift. The possible groundloop situation is there, but if you "fly it to the ropes" as we are taught this mitigates ...

I couldn't do it in a week. I am sure some people could, as that is the time it takes when done at a builders' workshop such as the one in Georgia.

I have been tinkering with mine since this past summer and am doing the rudder now.

I like this new forum!

I prefer this method of communication over that of the Yahoo group. It is easier to check and keep up with and it can be done more easily at a borrowed machine without the need to log in!

Spike, Thanks for setting it up!

I plan on visiting ALOT! I now have a new homepage!
