Priming inside gear leg weldment and steps

What did you guys do inside the gear leg weldment and inside the steps? On the gear leg I mean the center part that does not make contact with the leg itself. Did you do nothing or dump something in to coat it? Also on the inside of the steps?

Tire size

Do the 7 and 9 A models nose wheel the same size as the mains? Thinking of doing slightly bigger tires. Thinking 380 x 150 x 5, they fit under vans pressure recovery wheel pants with a little modification. Not sure about doing the nose wheel and not sure if it is the same size as the mains? Thanks

If I remember correctly, I thought I read somewhere that you could lightly tap the outside edges of those rivets to get them to better form to the skin. I thought Vans had that in the instructions but my memory is not what it use to be? Hard to tell from the picture but if they are against the skin ...

Firewall measurement

At the point of drilling the firewall to the side skin. When I measure the 5/8 inch distance called out in the plans, firewall 5/8" back from the forward edge of the 970 side skin. I used a square and measured the 5/8 right along the edge of the firewall. Once I had that all set I used a thick piece...

Step kit instructions and hardware list

I have a lead on some steps for mine 9 which I failed to order with the fuse. He does not have the hardware or instructions. Wondering if someone out there has a copy they could send? Thanks
