Hi Brett. Building in an apartment, that has to be a challenge. Welcome to an incredible journey, don't get overwhelmed by how much work this is, just take one thing at a time. Keep involved with other builders, like here, it really helps.

This is what it is all about Chad, everybody learns. The guy you did the TC inspection for I'm sure got lots out of the visit, your buddy got motivation for sure, you got to practice cross wind landings and another one that you will learn from, and we all got a little jab to remember to always be al...

I'm sure you aren't the only one that won't forget that flight, another great RV experience.

Congrats Brian! Glad your birthday worked out on many fronts. Good to hear the bumps didn't scare Kris off, that is very good.

Very nice Bruce! Glad to see you Dad still has a sense of humor, even if his expression doesn't show it. Bet he's thinking, get this built so I can have a ride. You are missing out on checking the freight company website 5 times a day to see where your crate is as it makes it's way towards your shop...

Really BIG congrats Chad! I'm happy to hear and see the right person got the first ride, sure hope she wants to go again. The pride you must have felt to pass that milestone and give her the ride in what you have put so much work into, had to be something you will not forget. Giving your Dad a ride ...

I've way too busy at work for way too long, but I did manage to get about 5 rivets set last night before other things took priority. BTW Chad, when it comes to trouble shooting a problem, I'm way more embarrassed about not knowing the cause than figuring out I did something wrong. I know I have scre...

If the above two is what you are asking about, I just countersunk them, and the one beside it.

You are getting real close Chad, those last few hours will be gone soon enough. If you have a handheld radio, give it a try from various distances to a ground station to see how well it will work as a backup (if you think you will carry one and haven't done it already that is, just something else to...

Except I don't know how those guys go that fast for very long. I get beat around pretty good and have to pull back the power. I don't want to break anything. They have slightly different "priorities", I kinda like the idea of going easy on the engine and airframe, but then that's me. I've been driv...

That is so cool Brian! I've done my share of that kind of thing, yes I am very much a geek too wishing it would have made me $$$, but it didn't. You can do so much with the single chip systems, and they don't cost very much at all. I've lost rack of how many development systems I have used/bought ov...

Had to do a lot of that kind of thing when I was putting transmitters/radios in my car, a few well placed filter components can do wonders.

Yup, been there, done that. Use a couple of flush pulled rivets. I bought a few from Wicks (Cherry). When the plane gets painted, fill the holes and it will never show.

There really isn't much I can add to the above in how to make the choice of how to move forward. All I can add is a method I have used for a lot of years when it comes to big decisions. I make the choice and don't tell anyone, and I mean anyone and see how I sleep, if my attitude towards everything ...
