I just confirmed with him that he did use a few blind but said having been there and done that he would go with solid if he did it again. You guys better stop that booby talk or RB will never get that pretigious "Family Friendly...

I think if you read Dan C's site he said they recommended it to him and he did it, he then drilled them out and put regular rivets in there.

Lorin, I think it has probably happened to all of us. Sometimes it is good to take a little break (I have done it several times). Seeing someone elses procress pics or going out to my local airport and seeing flying RVs usually does the trick to get me remotivated.

NAPA 7220 Self-Etching Primer Discontinued???

I stopped by a local NAPA store to pick up a few cans of 7220 to use before I shoot my interior with the light gray Cardinal A-4108-GR230. They only had 2 can of the 7220 on the shelf so I asked the guy behind the counter if they had more. He told me that was all they had and they were discountinuin...

Wait till it's on it's wheels and you're sitting in it making airplane noises. Trust me Scott, I'm already thinking about doing that. Gotta mount the front stick and throttle quad first. Ah Thomas, that funny looking guy would be me. Don't worry about me getting too far ahead. I still need an engin...

Another Flip (Sort of)

I 'm happy to report I finally flipped my -8 fuselage off the jig. It sure was a good feeling to see the "Canoe". If anyone wants a free -8 fuselage jig send me a message. I'm sure these will be a thing of the past shortly with the new match drilled -8's hitting the streets. :bang: http://www.rivetb...

Chad, I put up a whiteboard and made 4 sections on it. One for the tail, one for the wings, one for the fuse and another for stuff I needed to buy (no need for finish yet). When I run accross something that I know I skip and can do later I write it up on the board. Yes I still have crap on there for...

Take a look at the 3-view drawing. It should be a little forward of the filler neck.
