I am thinking that they believe that once they join, they will be able to get our email addies.

Mine is hidden, as per the default settings in the profile.

I am sure you all left yours as the same.

My email addy is on the internet at our website, so it doesn't matter that mine is visible to anyone. I get hundreds of junk email a day, and I just deal with it, and weed 'em out! :bang:

I realize that Spike is recovering, but just wanted you to know that there's been a few more "fake" users advertising websites by joining the list and putting it in their profiles. Silly Zonia is the latest one.

Thanx David. I noticed some of those in the software while I was still in the hospital. Ive been either deleting them or disabling the accounts. Sometimes its better to do that latter than the former for software reasons.

I can't wait to hear what SHE has to say!!!

Spike, like I had mentioned on the phone last month, something needs to be done to make it easier for non technical people to join. There are too many confusing things like the email digest option and all. Consolidating it into one "How to join the board" FAQ sheet with hyperlinks would make it easy!

It seems like many of the new memebers are spammers. They don't seem to be able to do anything past becoming a member, but if you need someone to moderate these spam members or qualify new ones... I would be glad to help out!

I bet others would too!

Thanx for the insight and offers guys. I hadn't ignored ya CJ, I was just way underwater getting ready for Thanksgiving. Friday was the first day that I have flown in over a month if that tells you anything. Ill be looking into some of this stuff and might be asking for some help in the very near future.
