I cannot log in using Mozilla Firefox

Post by Mike Balzer »

Spike,
I can log in using Internet Explorer but I can not log in using Mozilla Firefox. The reason I switched was that I heard Mozilla Firefox is less prone to viruses.

Thanks,

Mike Balzer

Hey Mike,

I use Firefox exclusively. I am actually using Firefox now on a computer while visiting friends so I would guess that its an issue on your machine. What error are you getting? Is the browser set so to allow sites to set cookies, etc.? Do you have any old cookies lying around?

Firefox is DA BOMB!!!

...and if you like Firefox, try Thunderbird!

It is to MS Outlook as Firefox is to MS Explorer in case you didn't already know...

Mike, I had the same problem but the opposite. I could not log on via IE 8. I loaded Google Chrome and now I can log in. Firefox should work. I'd suggest resetting Firefox to it's default settings.

Mike,
Could you log in using firefox at one point or never since install?
What is your operating system? Vista or XP or other?
If it has happened from the start since installation of firefox, try unistalling (go to C:Program Files/Mozilla Firefox/Unistall and click on unistall program. Or use your OS remove feature - on Vista, Control Panel/Programs and Features, or if you have XP go to Control Panel/Add or Remove Programs).
Then, re-download and install and see if OK.

Thanks for all your support,
I am running Windows XP service pack 2 and I have been using IE for all web browsing for the past year or 2 and when I down loaded Mozilla Fire Fox about 2 weeks ago I chose to make Mozilla my default browser and Mozilla took My Favorites that are saved in IE and put them in Mozilla's Favorites.

I can get to RB web page with Mozilla's browser but it wont let me log on as a registered user. I have no error messages showing up and it appears that on Mozillas side that RBs wants me to register again.

When I dowloaded the Mozilla Fire Fox, all settings are original from down loading program about 2 weeks ago. Should I remove program and download again?

Thanks,

Mike Balzer
