How to include images in your posts

Post by Spike »

Once you have uploaded a photo to our gallery (as described in this thread) you may want to include it in a post.

Here's how you do it:

1) Bring up the photo you wish to include in your web browser.

2) You will need to get the url of that photo so you can use it in your post. Most older Microsoft browsers and just about all Netscape/Mozilla browsers allow you to right click on the photo and "Copy Image Location". If you have this option select it. Skip to instruction 3.

2a) However, if you are running windows XP this option will not be available to you. In that case right click on the photo and select "Properties"

2b) Using your mouse highlight the url from the "properties" window.

2c) With the url highlighted press the Control button and the 'c' character at the same time to place the URL on your computers clipboard.

3) In your post create an image link where you want the picture to go. Do this by typing in "". If you placed the URL on the computer's clipboard you can simply paste it between the "img" tags by pressing the Control button and the 'v' character.

There ya go. Now when you submit your post your photo should be included in the body.
