Post by dicel87 »

Anyone looked at or considered the 8 cyl Jabiru? Last time I checked there website they had installed and flown one in an RV with good results.

My gut reaction would be concerning size and weight. Though I have to confess I really dont know much about it. Do you have specs or info we can look at ?

It would look really nice with a heap of exhaust stacks sticking out the side of the cowl. Just like WW2 fighters. Add a couple of invasion stripes and you have a great looking machine. :)

Can this engine fly inverted or do mild aerobatics? It looks like it is has carbs. so I have questions about the inverted.

Does anyone in the US or Australia have one of the on an RV besides the factory plane? If so it would be neat to see some numbers on speed at different power and altitude settings.

It was not clear on the spec sheet what power setting the fuel burn rate was at...it just said "cruise" would that be 170 HP or much less?

Now that has possibilities. Hmmm, interesting. It would be neat to see stacks out of the sides snap  Make it so and send pictures. ;)
