control wheel steering

On the autopilots they talk about control wheel steering. Can someone give me a short description on how that works??Thanks G

CWS is a momentary switch that allows you to hand fly the airplane with the autopilot engaged when the button is pressed. Once it is released, the autopilot is back in control and will go back to what it was doing.

Chad, I never thought about that but it is neat function. The new Dynon Autopilot lists CWS as a feature and looks like an interesting package to help busting the budget. Thanks for that Gary
