Microair Combo

Post by dicel87 »

I was looking through the Aircraft Spruce web page this evening and thought this looked like a decent combination. Lightweight, integrated, and reasonably priced. I am planning a VFR only equipped RV.

Works Combo Kit (11-02867)
T2000 Transponder, M760 VHF Transceiver,
Ted Antenna, 4-Place Vox Intercom, Encoder,
2 Wiring Harnesses & Coax Kit
$3232.00

Does anyone have any experience with Microair?

Thanks
Scott

Yep, I do. Personally I like them both. The MicroAir 760 is really clear and plenty powerful despite it's small size. The only gripe I have aganst the radio is that the frequecy adjustment knobs can be tricky in turbulence. The transponder is the same way. I can't fault the operation of either unit, they both work well and are a snap to install.

I did have one problem with the 760 radio in the beginning. It started displaying Japanese characters instead of English. I found the fix on the MicroAir web site and since I perfomed the procedure it hasn't happened again.

Great radio for limited space.
