Big ten inch!

Post by captain_john »

...display that is!

So I just learned (I know, I didn't go to OSH or I would have already learned this) that Advanced has a new AF-5600 ten inch display!

I pinged AFS's website and it says that it will be shipping late this year. Hmmmm, in Dynon speak that means availability in 2012. They are big on announcements but no product to follow for at least a couple more years. Maybe I will have to watch this one?!?!

Just an FYI for all you people like me who didn't make it to the show.

I saw that, and quite frankly, really liked what they did with the menus. As in getting rid of them. I think this is a big win. The first I heard about it they had put a link to a small kitplanes blurb. They have added more info lately though and I am looking forward to seeing it an potentially buying in.

I do hope though that they can support all of these different products. They sure seem to be going a million miles an hour getting stuff out.

I am looking forward to seeing the Vertical Power interface screen and how it integrates with the AFS menu.

I am thinking of using the VPX unit and need to know more before I can commit.

Perhaps next year at OSH will reveal more?

I am SOOOOO gonna be there!

Mebbe engine time???
