hopping around my favorite place to fly, Northern Michigan. I rode 20K on a free FBO bike at Traverse City and had some good Detroit style pizza (played some hockey there). I ate too much. Some smokey hot wings from Arts. In Northern Michigan I always tell them to make the wings as hot as they possibly can, they are usually a 5/10 for heat but the smokey flavor came thru. I would give them an overall wing score of 7/10. Also, I had some excellent banana bread from a local. Demo'd my rotating nose wheel chock at a couple places. the line guys like that and then he told me there are 30 flavors of ice cream in the machine at the FBO, for free. visited Townline discount store at Manistee, next to the airport. (Cheap prices)

tie down and camping at Empire is $3 per night. they have a courtesy car. I filled the courtesy car tank and put $30 in the box. keep them going!
