Glad to hear that you have been taking advantage of it!
Keep it up!

Awesome Keith !
Can't wait to help you celebrate getting your PPL.
Hey John, looks like we'll have to have a party at Hangar 5 when he's done.

Night Flight was cool. Landing at night kicked my butt!!
It's like I'm learning to land all over again. I may only need 10 landings and three hours of night flight to satisfy my requirements, but I believe it will take a few more hours of dual before I'm comfortable enough to go it solo.
On the bright side, I went up on Sunday night, and there were fireworks going off everywhere.
Next up, Night XCountry!

Keith, I LOVE night flying!
Less airplanes in the sky, usually smooth air and the view is COOL!
Over 1/10 of my total time is night.
I always try to stay night current.

Night flying is definitely one of the most rewarding experiences flying has to offer. Staying current is difficult in the summer time, but I always do my best to keep it up...though I have to admit, I am one landing out of currency right now...
Keep up PK! You'll get it!

I'm also a huge night flight fan. I have about 280 hours total time now, and 80 of that is night time
It's just the best time to go!
The sight picture at night definitely takes some practice. My first few night landings solo after I got my PPL weren't pretty. Lot of dropping it in

Last night I finally got the nighttime XC in to Hartford. I nailed the landings this time out. I've got a feeling that the near full moon helped me out some.
Nothing left but to take a practice checkride with my instructor before he signs me off for the real thing.

Keith, remember 2 things.
1) Relax. Your instructor wont sign you off for the checkride if you are not ready. You walk into these things knowing that you are ready for it.
2) If you pink slip it, its not the end of the world. Brush up on what you did incorrect, learn from it, and try again. I learned so much on my checkride it was amazing. Most DE's are not out to screw you.

Keith, you know what you are doing... if not, call me and ask. I have faith in you!
Go for it!
Lemme know if you need anything!

Good luck, I was in your shoes not to long ago! I agree on the good weather, my checkride day was wind at 220 16G20 and a 13-31 runway. Not so much fun, but I sure felt good afterwords!!

Naw... how can he? Using a cell phone during flight is an FCC thing, not an FAA thing.
Just tell him that you would like to "phone a friend!"
