Cross Country

Post by Spike »

Went out this morning for some relaxing cross country time. Landed at a little place that Poeboy told me about, New Market, VA. Its a neat little airport frozen in time. Everything about it was old and the gas was cheap. The best part? In their flight training room they had T-shirts hanging on the wall from solos. Most were from the eighties and the oldest was from 1979. What a cool little joint

And when I got back there were 6 RV's parked outside of the restaurant getting lunch. Definately a good day!

Yeah, where's the pics of the RV's?
I used Google Earth a couple of days ago and zeroed in on Megs field Chicago. On the south ramp area among the cessnas and beechs is a lone red and yellow RV. It's either a 3 or 4. Nice!! You can see the cowl cheeks from about 500 ft. agl.

Nice pics, Spike. Thanks for sharing a fun trip with us. Here in the "Heartland" we were socked in the whole weekend with rain, lotsa gusts, and low ceilings. Yuch. 'Twas a good weekend for working on one's tail ... I mean, horizontal stabilizer.

Next X-country I do here I'll send you some pics. Then you can pretend you're flying over any of NE, KS, IA, IL, IN, OH, and northern MO. :lmao:
