I went to the AEA show last week and it was a lot of fun. As bad as commercial air travel sucks these days, it actually wasn't bad. And I got bumped into first class on the way back

At the show I actually met Marc Cook, the editor of Kitplanes magazine. We chatted for quite a while and I found him to be a very nice guy. I also met Charles Preston from AVweb.com (Kitplanes and AVweb are both owed by the same company).

Of course the highlight of the trip was when a friend and I went skiing Mt Rose all day

Sweet pics Will!! Skiing at the end of March! I love it! I'm a skier myself, and have ski'd Utah, but not Nevada. Looks like fun!

Cool!
I'm headed to CO Fri for a week or so ... will get in some spring skiing.

Bill- give me a call - we have to get together and hit the slopes. I'll be in the car all day Sat unless the weather breaks and I can fly...

Spring skiing is the best! It was 60F by noon when I went. No gloves required  It was a little sticky in spots, but not bad.

The show was very cool. Very little experimental stuff there, but I did spend quite a while chatting with the Avidyne folks. I had multiple meetings with our main supliers: Honeywell, Rockwell Collins, BE, EMTEQ, ect. And of course, everyone had there latest and greatest products on display. Sorry I didn't take any pics of that stuff. I just got a bunch of brochures and free hats and shirts

I did get a quote on the ME-406 ELT for $850 from Sun Aviation though.

Avidyne is on my short list for the RV. I hope to talk to them if we can make it to Osh.
