Pics of a "fly-by"...

Post by cjensen »

Not really a fly-by, but my buddy Rich was sitting on his back deck when I departed RW29 late last summer, and if one doesn't climb out like a "normal" RV, these shots are easy...and legal!

I like the third one down. Kind of a "Re-entry" pic showing the heat off the underside.

That does look a bit like that.

Chad, how nasty is the glare when the sun is off the wingtip and you catch it at just the right angle and the top of the wingskin reflects that into the cockpit? Hope you have a good sunblock on just incase ;).

In 31 hours, probably 18-20 in the sun, I've only noticed it a couple of times. I wouldn't hesitate to polish this thing if I could just make up my mind!!! :bang:

Brian, If Chad could have made up is mind, he would probably have beat all of us in f!ying his ariplane. It probably would have to have been and RV-3 OR Rv-4!

Tom, you are right it would have had a Subura Power Plant and/or electric engine with Aerobatic capabilility. Thank you for helping us to remember this important feature.

When I first met Chad, the plan was a 7-A nosedragger (as I seem to recall) with a Subaru engine!

He was also driving a Mitsubishi Eclipse for a while there too! Do they really make those for men?

Sure glad some things change!

It's all over but the flying! 800+ hours in only 3 years!

You are correct CEEJAY...but I was driving a Jeep when I first started, and the good news is, as you know, I have come full circle, and am back to driving a Jeep!! 8)

I pretend that year of driving an Eclipse never happened...
