KACK Xmas Stroll

Post by Wicked Stick »

Image
This morning we flew into Nantucket for breakfast, then into town for the annual X-mas Stroll. Cobblestone streets lined with decorated trees in front of each store front.
Image
Spiced apple ciders, Scallop and Clam Chowda's, and lots of folks walking around in the Xmas spirit.
Image
Santa arrived at the pier by the Black Dog ship via Coast Guard Cutter.
From the pier he hopped into a horse drawn sleigh and rode into town to visit with everyone.
We met Noah Forden and his mom at the airport and spent the time together in town. On the way out, I think we spotted Rick M.'s (MachineMan) RV-7 parked at the ramp but we never saw him in town.

Vlad, I have a frequent lunch card at the place down the street!

They also have the best sirloin gorgonzola on the east coast!

Vlad, we are already planning a brunch at Republic field on the 11th. Would you care to join us?

If so, join our meetup and RSVP so we can count you (and Tony) in!

If anyone else wants to join us, please do the same!

Gorgonzola

Post by Noah »

Damn, I am a little late in discovering this thread! So THIIIIIIS is where the ACK trip originated! John, what is this about sirloin gorgonzola? I guess I will need to go back, that does sound good! I do like a bit of Gorgonzola (remember Wallace and Gromit??)

Noah, I don't know the bit you speak of. Looks like I have some googling/youtubing to do!

Within walking distance from the airport is AK Diamonds. It is a FABULOUS place! The food is ALWAYS good to GREAT!

THAT is the place I like to visit for lunch and dinner!

Let's put 121 on the list of places too. It is in Oxford, CT. AWESOME pizza!!!
