Some swampy/muddy land between the ocean and the bay

Rehoboth Delaware ..

Rehoboth Deleware mainstreet & boardwalk

These two structures are nifty. They are old towers built back in WWII used to search for submarines and I guess invasion forces. You can find them strewn accross the beaches between Rehoboth and OC Maryland.

The ferry that runs between DE and NJ.

Dover AFB. There were quite a few transports on the ramp. I think these in the photos are C-141's. Usually they have a bunch of C-5's out there but I didnt see any on this trip.

Dover Downs & its NASCAR track, the Monster Mile

The last photo I took at EVY when we stopped for fuel. I dont know the story on this airport, except that I believe it has a rich military history that somehow involves Boeing. I think it was/is a training location for Chinook flight crews or mechanics. Anyone know anything? They had these three there and one of them was runnin on the ramp when we arrived. Actually, he was still there running when we left too. I think it was some kind of maint run-up or something.

All in all it was an excellent day of flying. 3.7 hours of xCountry flight. What a great way to get the season started
