the strobes and more system

Post by Hadley »

i am interested in the strobes and more system (pro series 606) that you guys are recommending for my 7a.

http://strobeguy.safeshopper.com/90/2277.htm?248

my question is who is using the system and are they having problems with the strobe sound on the radio?

currently, i am comparing the aeroflash system that puts the power units in the end of the wings and would prefer to go with the pro series because it is much cheaper. the noise is a deal killer.

thanks for your help....

Hey there Hadley. First of all... :welcome:

As to your strobe question. I don't know what it will do for radio noise. I bought the system myself but I'm nowhere near installing it. If I get there before you I'll let you know. :) If you get there first, let me know. Seriously though, as long as everything is properly grounded I don't see it being an issue. I'm just going to try to keep the power pack and HV lines away from my radio wiring and it shouldn't be a problem.

PS. I removed the duplicate posting in the RV-7 forum. This applies to all the RV models. It's going to be great if this system works as advertised and I have no reason to doubt it will.

I have the setup but am a long ways from using it. I can say that it does flash!

I did some research before buying and know I read on a couple of website that people had used similar if not the same system and had no problems. Also one of the local volunteer firemen here said they were great and caused no radio problems in his truck. Not an airplane but still a radio system.

I hope they work well, we shall see.
