Help with my rats nest!

Post by pequeajim »

I have a problem.

In wiring the 12 Thermocouples for my Jabiru 3300 to my RDAC, I find that there doesn't seem to be a way to keep everything neat.

I have extended the wiring for two of the TCs, but some of the wire is too long and I have to coil it. Now I basically have a rats nest around the RDAC>

THis is the first engine that I have wired up. Can anyone suggest a good solution? I don't think I can cut the TC wires to make it neater, can I?

Any help would be appreciated...

coiled wire

Post by weezbad »

is the coiled wire the extension ? if so can you extend the wire from the unit instead? that way you could cut it to the desired length. i have dynons and am not familiar with your system. i would not cut the lead that is on the t/c as the leads are supposed to be that same length. which i dont totally get because the wires from the main unit are t/c ( yellow and red/ yellow and white)wires IIRC.
william....don't let it beat you down, you are stronger than you think.

No, the coiled wires are right from the TC. I guess I could coil the wire right at the TC to shorten it on the RDAC side?
