Flap Positioning System

Post by pequeajim »

I have seen some of the flap positioning systems out on the market and have a question.

Do any of them work with a Rotary knob? I really like the rotary knob that is used in the Fligh Design CT. It is 4 position for 10, 20, 30 and 40 degrees of flaps.

Thoughts?

I would think this is a very easy mod, as it would simply take the place of the momentary switch wired to the flap motor.

Yeah, but do any of the offerings work with a rotary selector switch. I thin this provides specific values at each position?

Vans has a one touch flap kit that I am considering using. I believe that it uses a three position toggle switch to select 3 different flap configurations. You might be able to use that kit and replace the toggle switch with a rotary one.

Thanks, I will call them tomorrow and ask. If it is a 3 position switch that they use, you're right, I may be able to substitute with a rotary.
