Duckworks lights

Post by Jeffrey T »

Lighting gurus,

This question has probably been posted before (or maybe its too obvious) and I did do a search but didn't see my question. So here goes. I have a pair of LL-DW-02 100 watt light kits for my RV-7 kit. I've made the LE cuts and installed the nutplates, etc. but I want to get my wing ready to close up and am a little uncertian about what I need to install to make the light function.

The instructions talk about a ballast, but I think its is only required for a HI installation. I think I only need to supply power from the bus to the white lead from the bulb and a ground to the tab on the reflector for the light to function.

Is my thinking ok and I'm just making this more complicated than it needs to be, or am I missing something?

Thanks,

jeff

Yep, if you're just running 100W halogens, that's all you need.

Ballasts are for HID's, and power supplies are for LED's.
