Tank Sealant ?

Post by Mike Balzer »

Is 1422 B1/2 or 1422 B2 compatible to use as a tank sealant.
We use it in the airlines for the fuel tanks on jet planes but that is kerosine based.

Thanks.

We use it here at work on our Learjet's and TBM's Mike, and it's what I used for my 7...same Mil-spec as the Proseal brand, so go for it! 8)

Thanks Chad,
Its been a while since I used it in the Airlines as a structural mechanic.
I didnt know if it was the same material. Thanks for reasuring me about the mill spec number. I know the tubes it comes in is alot easier to work with a pneumatic seal gun that I have. It will do alot cleaner job.

Thanks for your reply,
