oil door

Post by Doakes »

I need some information on how most of fellow RV'ers attached the oil door.
Van says to expose the hinge on the outside. I prefer to attach it with the hinge on the inside.
What has been the way most have done it?

Thanks
Cowl almost on.

Dave,

I made a metal oil door instead of a fiberglass one. Here's my logs:

1) Forming the oil door: http://rvplane.com/?categoryid=6&dayid=642

2) Installing the hinge: http://rvplane.com/?categoryid=6&dayid=644

3) Installing the latch: http://rvplane.com/?categoryid=6&dayid=647

Good luck!
