Firewall

I am pulling apart the forward and center sections to deburr, dimple, etc. I removed the firewall and am wondering if I should wait to dimple the firewall to 970 skin holes(side skin) until I fit the cowl hinges sometime down the road. Thought it may be easier to match drill if it was not dimpled. Any thoughts? Do I need to do it now? Thanks

It would be better to do it before dimpling. Easier to get the holes better aligned. But with that said, it's not impossible to do after dimpling either.

On my RV-10, I matched drilled first, then dimpled.
