T-minus 43 hours...

Post by spikescopilot »

... until Spike gets to tear apart our basement and start putting up his airplane factory. :D

(The basement will remain guest-friendly until the last person leaves on Friday; then it will be transformed to workshop. Not quite sure what we're going to do about Thanksgiving next year; but we'll have time to figure something out. ;) )

I think Chad smoked him already!!!

Honestly, my guests would be in the misdt of airplane parts by now! I would be asking them to help me buck while they are trying to sleep!

Chad has already smoked me. Its ok though cause he is going to flame out when he actually has to make that decision on which engine to get. Besides, its not like he is going to be able to park next to me anyway over in the "Past Winners" parking area of Osh

It's OK Spike. I'll probably be parked next to you by the time I am finished.

oooh, you guys are too funny! have i told you all that i'm leaning back towards a lyclone?? yeah, i know... no flame outs here!

spike! i flew right over your digs this evening (actually last night, now that it's after midnight and i just got home!) about 7:30pm your time, we were at 7,000 desending in our king air 200 going in to Martin State at Baltimore. went right over FDK. man it was snowin'!!

i honked! did ya hear me??

we made it out there in two hours flat from champaign, il (about 40nm east of home), and it took 3.5 hours to get home!!!! (that's really ok though, 'cuz it was my leg to fly PIC!). goin' out we had a 60 knot push. coming home...believe it or not...110kts right on the nose!! we had 145kt ground speed in a king air!!

ok, back to the thread! glad to hear the countdown is in to the final hours! c'mon now, catch me if ya can!

Oh yeah dude, the snow was coming down good about that time. Sorry I did not hear you honk. I was driving in it though on the way home from church and was thinking how cool it would have been to be flying through that.

King Airs 'eh? Punk.

Catching you may be hard. Were in winter now and I have lots of primer to shoot. Not sure yet how I am going to manage that.

yeah, a king air...but it's relative, trust me. the next says "yeah, i just came over in a falcon 900". i say "falcon 900, eh? punk."

it's cool though, i won't deny that, and i don't take it for granted, trust me...i've been VERY lucky to have flown the airplanes i get to. 8)

not sure yet how i'm gonna manage the priming this winter either... :?

Actually John I didn't get much done today. After all the hustle andbustle of yesterday I wasn't feeling too well when I woke up. I basically scouted the area out and came up with some ideas. I hope to get to setting things up tomorrow.
