Hydraulic Hole Punch for firewalls

Post by Wicked Stick »

I decided to purchase this from Harbor Freight.

Just thought I'd let others know that it works great.
I have punched out 3 holes in a friends 7A and tonight I punched out my cabin heat box hole on my 8's firewall.

It punches the hole with ease and only leaves minor nicks that are easily buffed out with a scotch brite wheel attached to a die grinder or dremel tool.

Here's a pick of my 8's firewall after using it.

Our avionics shop has one, and I wish I would've known before I did my holes. I did use it for the battery box, and it worked GREAT!!!

Now that is a sweet piece of kit. Is it going to go on the tool loaner list?

As soon as I'm done with it, your welcome to borrow it Spike.

Just pay for the shipping though... It's heavy :o
