Millions of them. Well, maybe not millions, but lots...
I shot one coat of High-Build primer on them this weekend, and I'm wondering if I sand with 600, then reshoot it, repeat, if that will suffice to fill the pin holes rather than using epoxy filler, waiting for it to dry, repeat...
Wait until you get to the wheel pants I did several coat of a primer with filler and also did some expoxy with micro balloons before that. Nothing was fool proof for me. The painter managed to fill what I didn't get but it was the pits Best stay away from the ruity beer or any beer when shooting the gear leg fairings etc. Good luck to you in the painting process! The fiber-glass and paint prep were the worst jobs in building my RV-6A.
I'll have the micro out anyway for the wheel pants to match up the halves...just hoping to save some time with the leg fairings. I'll shoot a couple more coats tomorrow.
Yeah, finding that out today. I've put four coats of high density primer on them today, still have pin holes. So now I'm waiting for some filler to dry so I can sand 'em...then prime again...
